Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), came into existence in 1994 and became the 6th member of the IIT fraternity. And later, the study programs commenced in the year 1995. Today, the Institute has 5 interdisciplinary academic centers that include engineering, science & humanities subject field and 11 departments. Students can pursue BTech, MA, BDes, MTech, MSc, and certain PhD study programs. In a short period, IIT Guwahati managed to build a world-class infrastructure that is equipped with high-tech labs, that are ready to carry out advanced research.

The Campus is spread over an area of 285 hectares near the northern bank of the Brahmaputra river and it is 20 km away from the City centre. IIT Guwahati Admission Process

The process of admission to the UG, PG, & doctorate programs at IITG is based on the cut-off of some common entrance exams like IIT JEE, IIT JAM, GATE, CAT, CEED, & JRF for respective levels. After scoring the minimum marks in these exams, you can apply for the program by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1:Visit the official university website & register yourself by filling in some basic info.

Step 2:Log in with your registered ID & password & complete the online application form.

Step 3:The mandatory details to be filled in the application form include information from your educational, personal, & professional background.

Step 4:Submit some additional details in the form of a Statement of Purpose (SOP), cover letter, & resume to validate your potential for the chosen program.

Step 5:Clear the entrance exam, if applicable, for your program category & after obtaining the desired cut-off proceed with the fee payment process.
